Assessing Your Options

Assessing Your OptionsIf you require assistance selecting the right housing option for you, you may want to start by discussing your support needs with your Home Care Case Coordinator. If you do not have a Home Care Case Coordinator, you could contact the Home Care intake line at 204-788-8330. You may also wish to speak with your family physician. Age & Opportunity also offers assistance to seniors through their "Housing Consultation Program". You can contact the Housing Consultation Program by calling 956-6440. You should know that some housing options, such as Supportive Housing and Personal Care Homes, do require a referral from the Home Care Program.

Making the decision to move is always a challenge. That is why the Long Term and Continuing Care Association of Manitoba have created this webpage to help guide you and your family.

If you have determined Supportive Housing is the level of service you require, there are still a number of considerations.
