The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg is honored to be recognized as Manitoba’s first licensed personal care home having been established in 1906. We are located in South/Central Winnipeg, just off of Corydon Avenue, close to restaurants, boutiques and the vibrant community life of the surrounding residential area. Excellent bus transportation routes are nearby and on-street free visitor parking is available surrounding The Home.

Our Resident rooms are comfortably furnished with a bed, night table, built-in clothes closet and either a standalone or built-in dresser. Residents and families are encouraged to decorate the room with personal touches - such as with family photos, small meaningful mementos, a favorite picture, etc.

All our programs and services, and the care we provide, are built around our Residents. Our approach reflects the value we place on treating our Residents with dignity and respect in keeping with our philosophy of maintaining a homey, warm and welcoming environment. At The Home we consider ourselves to be all one "family"! Our Residents are supported in their pursuit of life-long interests, as well as in trying new things/making new friends, which will provide them with a quality living experience. We remain always cognizant that our Residents do not live in our place of work, but that we work in our Residents' home.
