Supportive Housing in Manitoba

Supportive Housing is the right choice for people who require access to 24 hour supervision and some assistance managing with physical limitations, or ongoing health conditions such as dementia. Residents receive support and cueing with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and medication reminders. If you think a loved one is a good fit for this option, contact the Supportive Housing residence you are interested in, to discuss living there.

Prior to hiring a private home care agency, ask if they require all of their staff to have a criminal record check and a vulnerable elders check.

If there is an agency worker problem or serious complaint first contact the agency owner/manager. If they do not address your complaint, notify the WRHA.
